The fourteenth South African classroom, which was transformed to become the first-of-its-kind Vusumzi Primary School Library, is named after Karen and Wayne Barnes. Together the Barneses know, firsthand, that education has the unique power to build a successful and fulfilling life and that books and knowledge offer the chance to change a life forever.
Karen, a nurse for 35 years, and Wayne, a teacher and farmer, believe that only education made their careers possible. They are now quite grateful to extend that same opportunity to the children of South Africa.
